I have always been a skincare fanatic since a young age. My yiayia (grandmother) was the first
person to immerse me into the world of health and skincare, especially from a natural standpoint.
As much as I love skincare I also love makeup as well. I like to use makeup as a way to enhance my
natural beauty and express “me” rather than “cover me” which is why I think a good
skincare routine is crucial. I once read a quote that said something along the lines of “Your makeup
game will never be a 10 if your skincare game is only a 2.” I live by this because like anything you do
in life, you need a strong solid base first to build off of, and for makeup, you need strong healthy skin
to start.

My favorite way to incorporate Calithea into my makeup routine is to first cleanse and prep my
skin. I wash my face with one of our Olive Oil Soap Bars, then hit my face with some Facial Toner
and our Day Cream. When it comes to face makeup such as foundations and coverups I don’t like
anything too heavy on my skin. I am a light to medium coverage type of girl who prefers the glowy
dewy look over full-coverage matte. To achieve this I take my favorite foundation and squirt a pea
size amount on the back of my hand and then take about a dime size amount of Calithea Day
Cream and squirt that right on top and mix it in together. I apply it all around my face and buff it in.
Then I go in with concealer for any areas that need a bit of extra coverage.

After I set my face,  I apply blush, bronzer, and eyeshadow, and I do my brows.                                                                                                                              I don’t pencil in my brows as they are naturally dark and full, so I just like to brush them and lock them into place.                                                                          My favorite way to do that is with soap brows. It is a method that has gained a lot of popularity in the last year, but for those not
familiar with it all you do is take a clean brow spoolie brush and get it a bit damp. Then I wipe it
across my Honey Olive Oil Soap Bar that I always keep in my makeup bag. Once there is some
product on the brush I disperse it through my brows into the shape and direction of my choosing.
This acts as eyebrow gel essentially, but I personally prefer the look and feel of a good soap brow
over eyebrow gel. This locks my brows in place all day long. So the Day Cream and any of our
Olive Oil Soap Bars are two products you will ALWAYS find in my makeup bag!

And like I mentioned before, healthy radiant skin will always be the best base for your makeup so
make sure at the end of the day that you are properly removing the makeup and caring for your skin.
Ditch the makeup wipes and switch to our Milk Cleanser which removes all dirt, oil, makeup, and
sweat from your face after a long day. Double cleanse and follow up with one of our Olive Oil
Soap Bars. Pat dry and rejuvenate your skin with our Facial Toner and lock everything in and
repair your skin while you sleep by applying our firming Night Cream.

Always keep your skincare game strong and try out some of my tips to incorporate them into your makeup routine!
